This is a new strategic program is the way to position yourself on the Colombian market and turn potential leads into clients. Doesn’t it sound promising already? The PIB has been signed and entered into force in May 2021. Since then lasting business relations are built during digital events and the PIB cluster went on to Colombia to strengthen these ties.

PIB WeCareColombia

The trends and investments lead to opportunities in hospital design & build, digital transformation, remote care & telemedicine, public health, health workforce & education. To capitalize on these opportunities for collaborations in Colombia, Task Force Health Care and Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) coordinate the Partners in International Business-cluster WeCareColombia.

This 3-year program started last year and since then we’re busy with:

• Identifying concrete opportunities and project-leads for Dutch Connected Care solutions
• Build strong relations with key decision-makers, clients and (business) partners
• Position Dutch health solutions in the Colombian health system
• Facilitate pilot projects and scaling-up in Colombia
• establish a positive impact on the Sustainable Development Goals

This February a life scienes & health mission took place to Colombia. It was fantastic to finally meet the counterparts physically to reconnect on many different levels. Micha Van Lin, director of Task Force Health Care: “This week was an excellent start of the three-year PIB Programma WeCareColombia. We will follow-up on all the positive contacts in the coming weeks and months.”

Create opportunities in Latin America through a comprehensive program. Until 2024 the program will be busy with:

• appointing a local liaison to position the Dutch LSH sector, expand our network of Key Opinion Leaders, and identify opportunities for collaboration.
• organizing a Holland Lounge on the OES Conference Trade Fair.
• visiting Colombia through (virtual) trade missions, roundtables and matchmaking sessions.
• invating Colombian key stakeholders in an influential programme to visit the Netherlands and showcase solutions.
• organizing focused dialogues and co-creation sessions with potential clients and partners.
• developing marketing tools to promote the Dutch LSH sector in Colombia.

Participation fee

All-in participation fee: EUR 5,000 excl. VAT* per year and in-kind hours for participation in the program activities.

• Includes participation to all activities and services throughout the year (excludes travel and hotel costs).
• Use of a liaison officer hired by the Netherlands Embassy in Colombia, custom made NL branding and support of the Dutch government and Task Force Health Care.
• Activities could be outbound missions, trade fair participation, inbound missions, matchmaking, roundtables. (2-4 activities per year are foreseen).
• Which activities are organized is decided on by the needs of the cluster in collaboration with TFHC and the Dutch government.
