Between June 2016 and December 2017, Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management (ESHPM) of Erasmus University Rotterdam took part in a Partners in Business project “TFHC goes China” granted by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency.

During this period ESHPM provided courses and training hospital management in which people of more than ninety organisations from different regions in China participated. For this ESHPM collaborated with the 18 other partners from the “TFHC goes China” consortium as well as various hospitals, nursing homes and healthcare organisations. The success of the courses led to new course assignments and partners for research and education activities. The project “TFHC goes China” resulted in considerable economic activities and an improved strategic position in China of ESHPM and the consortium partners. The concept of the Partners in Business programme creates an added value for all partners though synergy from complementary products, services, expertise and networks. Hence, governmental support, the help of the Task Force Health Care and the Embassy in Beijing provided indispensable ingredients for this achievement. The positive experience and the lessons learned with the “TFHC goes China” project led to expansion of the training and consultancy activities to other countries.
