IMS Medical tripled its reseller network in more than 47 countries

IMS Medical develops products that improve the efficiency and safety of operations in hospitals and nursing homes, helping them to deliver a higher quality of care against lower costs. In the last year the company has exponentially increased its international exposure by joining TFHC activities and events, connecting them with hundreds of international new stakeholders from many different countries. How is IMS doing right now?

Excellent!’ would be the answer of Gijs Schoenmaker, marketing manager at IMS Medical: ’’In 2017 the TFHC enabled multiple introductions at  the senior management level of a number of hospitals and with many reselling partners worldwide. We are now capitalizing on these opportunities to improve the quality of healthcare and reduce operation costs worldwide ’’.

The products that caused such a stir abroad are the Severo, an innovative pill grinder, and the Movero, a universal driver to effortlessly move hospital beds and trolleys. IMS Medical’s own lean and efficient organisation enables the company to quickly bring innovations like these to the market against friendly prices.

Both products have received a lot of international attention. Via TFHC IMS was introduced on senior management level in organisations like the reputable Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in Sao Paolo, Brazil. This organisation is currently testing both products for use in their facilities. IMS Medical came in contact with the Albert Einstein hospital at the Holland Pavilion at the Hospitalar 2017. During this successful event IMS not only found distribution partners in Brazil (expected short term revenue 10k), but also expanded its reselling network to Argentina, Chili, Peru, Mexico, and Venezuela.

At the World of Health Care IMS also received a lot of interest from the different delegations attending this event, resulting in a further expansion of its activities into China and USA and further strengthening its presence in Europe

The latest big push that IMS Medical accomplished was at the Medica 2017 on which it launched the Movero bed mover and announced its first Movero-partnership with Völker, a reputable bed manufacturer  in Germany. With already a successful MEDICA  revenue of 100k IMS is currently signing up partners for the new Movero product in 15 other countries.

The innovation of its product portfolio and the subsequent rollout via TFHC has been a significant driver for growth of IMS Medical in the last year.  Not only has IMS been able to offer its products to reputable health care organisations like the Einstein Hospital, also it was able to expand its reselling partner network with almost 300% in a total of 47 countries with the help of TFHC.  The results of this progress is already seen in the 2017 results.

Monthly sales volumes of the existing Severo product portfolio have grown with more than 100% over the last year. For 2018 even faster growth is expected as sales continues to grow in existing markets in Europe and major reselling partners in North America, South America and Asia have only just started their sales efforts.  On top of that, sign ups for the new Movero is progressing well to a point that it will be an issue to keep the delivery times within 6 months.

But the value of TFHC for IMS Medical is not only for meeting short term commercial goals!  Gijs Schoenmaker: ‘’We would like to make use of the services and network of the TFHC to get introduced to more international health stakeholders and hospitals to find out how different national health systems perceive health care operations and labour conditions. This allows us to prioritise where we should move next and this way secure our international growth for the longer term!.’’
