Background:
The World Health Organization has developed HIV care training courses, modules and guidelines for health workers at all levels in the context of Integrated Management of Adult Illness (IMAI).

Objectives
The aim of this assignment was to coordinate the development of the TB/HIV contents of the Integrated Management of Adult Illness (IMAI) clinical learning programme.

Activities

On behalf of WHO Stop TB, KIT coordinated an expert group to provide the tuberculosis-related sections of the project. Activities included:

  • Coordinating the expert team working on the TB/HIV component of the IMAI second level learning programme.
  • Completing a draft version of the agreed learning objectives and associated competencies.
  • Coordinating draft reviews by an international group of reviewers.
  • Presenting the completed and reviewed sections to the editors of the learning programme.
