The government's plan to cover insurance premiums for around 96.4 million poor people starting from 2014 has been challenged by the Indonesian Association (IDI). The government has said it will allocate subsidies worth Rp22,201 ($ 2.33) per person per month for residents eligible to receive government-funded health insurance, whicht is stipulated under the Social Security Providers (BPJS) Law. However, the IDI deemed that the plan was calculated using the wrong criteria, which may jeopardize the quality of healthcare services an undervalue the economic and professional value of the doctors......
